AUTHOR OF BASS GUITAR LESSONS
Hi everyone! My name is Zeljko Zelle Glamocanin. I was born in 1969 and I have been in the music industry from early high school days (just like everyone else I assume :o)) . I have started as a guitar player in my first band and by a lot of unpredictable circumstances I have become a bass guitar player (our band's bass guitar player went on a holiday even though we had a lot of gigs booked at various places).
The agreement was that I only play those few gigs that were already booked and after that I go back to being a guitar player… As it always turns out (in Hollywood blockbusters and obviously in my life as well) I have never returned to the original instrument I played… On that fateful summer of 1984, I fell in love and every day I keep falling in love more and more in my first and the only true love – BASS GUITAR!
As it always turns out with people that work hard, enjoy what they do, results started to show pretty fast…More and more people started to ask me to play with them, to record their songs in studios, to give them lessons etc…
During my career, I had few bass guitars; some of them are Fender Precision, Fender Jazz Bass, Ibanez SG 1000, Westone and Yamaha TRB6.
At the moment I have Status Empathy 5 string bass, MTD 6 strings, Godin 5 strings (frettless), Spector CR4 up-right NS DESIGN Bass.
Amps that I had in the past are SWR, Marshall, Fender, Gallien Kruger, Trace Elliot, Hartke System. At the moment I have Roland V Bass Virtual Processor, David Eden, Hartke System and Mark Bass Amps. In a very near future the plan is to by Sadowsky 5 String Bass Guitar and 5 string Jazz Bass (both of these are the instruments that I like immensely).
I cannot count the number of live gigs that I had during my career as a bass guitar player. My sister is always saying to me:” If you saved a dollar from each gig you've done you’d be a very rich man now'
. Majority of my gigs, as a bass guitar player, were within Europe and Australia.
I currently live, work and play in Sydney...I work @ Point Break Guitar Centre and that’s one of the reasons why I have decided to create this website. By teaching bass guitar & guitar @ Point Break, I have realized that teaching is a heavenly job & I enjoy doing it so much.
With this website, I want to share all the experiences I had and to ease a path which a lot of people would normally go through. In other words, I want to help people not to make the mistakes I did. Unfortunately, when I was an inexperenced bass guitar player, there was no internet, no video tutorials or any other helping tools to show me how to play a bass guitar.
This website will help you to play a bass guitar a lot quicker and easier. It will give you an opportunity to much quicker and with ease learn a lot of different techiques without the hardship and without wasting a lot of precious time.
The Bass Players I respect, have learned a lot from and still learning are Billy Sheehan, John Patitucci , Marcus Miller, Stuart Ham, Victor Lemonte Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, Steve Harris, Stuart Zender, etc.
In Bass I Trust
